Acrylic on Canvas copright 2004 Larry Van Deusen
Larry Van Deusen
Larry uses the collage method for the composition of his non-linear paintings.
Larry Van Deusen thinks of these paintings as a metaphor for the modern world where we understand that at all levels everything is connected to everything else. He is not interested in the symbolic nature of any particular object, but rather is interested in the connections that the object brings to the work as an association that gives the whole painting some kind of meaning.
Larry has a degree in sculpture from the University of California, Hayward. He has shown extensively in the United States and Europe with sixteen solo and forty-five group shows, as well as many art festivals, open studios, artist panels and television interviews and discussions.
You may visit the artist in his Hayward Studio, 25376 Morse Ct. (94542), by appointment.
