"I strive to connect the inner world of my mind with the outer world of my hands. Sculpture allows me to accomplish this goal. Feeling the material I am working with yield and slowly conform to the image in my mind frees that image.

I am striving to keep art relevant to myself and the viewer by having the viewer become a participant in an ongoing event. I want my art to evolve over time and display that evolution.

As I have learned more about what art is, I have come to realized how much more I still have to learn about art and myself. I now try to express the light and shadow of the reality I perceive with my creativity and the media I have at hand."
